Davidson was taken on by Kock Island, but, like his case at that city, was crowded out, of the line-up by younger blood. A Dubuque dispatch under date- of August 3O says: "Outflelder George Marmsch, of the Dubuque team, has been sent home for the balance of the season owing to poor physical condition caused by sickness earlier in the year. Outflelder Davidson, re leased Tuesday, has been recalled, and catcher Alien, recently fined and suspended by Manager Rowland, reinstated."
