Hi Scott, welcome to the board. I would simply say that the best idea is to carefully examine the card itself and not the holder. I have seen undergraded SGC 30s go for more than the same cards in SGC 40 holders. I don't believe the grade per se between a 30 and 40 is calcuable because aesthetics of the card often plays a role in value. Just my 2 cents.
