The Board appears to have picked up the mission of ABC's Wide World of Sports:
"Spanning the globe to bring you the constant variety of VINTAGE sport...the thrill of ~~victory~~ FINDS, the agony of ~~defeat~~ the SCAMS...the human drama of ~~athletic~~ COLLECTING competition."

The Board allows me to plug into the collective experiences of the members. We share in the joys of discoveries and achievements, recharging our batteries and finding inspiration to continue our individual quests. The selfless sharing of knowledge and experiences is unmatched. The same conditions exist on the non-sports side. I truly wish there were similar communities for my other collecting interests.
