The teams are seeded much like a tennis tournament. #1 indicates the highest seed (best) within that quarter-region. #16 indicates the worst. No #16 has ever beaten a #1 in tournament history (back in the 80's, they didnt have that many teams). If you went straight #1s (chalk), that would be your "most likely scenario", but it also doesnt happen very often, as upsets win out here and there. |
