King- I never thought of it but it would make perfect sense that the Sport Kings would be released in the winter months of 1934. The company needed something to market between baseball seasons, and Sport Kings has hockey players, skaters, dog sledders, and fall sports like basketball, with minimal emphasis on baseball. It was clearly a cold weather issue (okay, Duke Kahanamoku was a surfer, but you get the point). |
