T206 Demmitt and O,Hara

I always understood these two shortprint cards, along with the likes of Elberfield's Washington portrait or the rarer versions of Lundgren and Browne to be sort of early "Traded" cards. That is, the reason for their shortprinting being that the players changed teams during the T206 three year run, and were released in later or earlier serieses with different teams.
However, these are probably the rarest of the sort, and it just struck me that these two cards, seeing the beautiful examples posted here, are both St. Louis.
Does anyone know if this is a coincidence, or is the team here in any way responsible for the short printing?
