Excited. I just picked up this nifty 1923 Edd Roush card. It says Eddie on the card (and on the case) yet his actual name was Edd not short for Edward. I'm guessing "Eddie" was his nickname? Interestingly his middle name was the letter J (not a full middle name like James).
Some cool Edd Roush stats ... A career .318 hitter in 18 years as a pro and star of the 1919 World Series Champion Cincinnati Reds who defeated the Chicago "Black Sox". Throughout his life Roush would state that the Reds were the better team, and would have won the Series either way. Please show us your Edd Roush cards/memorabilia if you got'em. ![]() |
