Since we're discussing Jim:
![]() Who else would 'flat Stanley" an Anson cabinet to meet the Dalai Lama? What struck me most about him was his humility. There are so many self-important asshats in the hobby, yet here was a guy with a collection that was plain scary awesome who flew under the radar unless he was your friend. No aggrandizement, no denigration of other collectors, just honest joy in sharing this weird obsession of ours with the rest of us freaks. He'd spark over a $1 common if it made you happy, same as over a $10,000 rarity. I bet this thread makes him smile, wherever he is.
