Lefty Stewart
Lefty Stewart won 101 games across 10 MLB seasons, including 15 during Washington's pennant-winning 1933 season. That was after he nearly died in 1927 when his appendix burst while he was on a hunting trip.
Despite being told by doctors that he would never pitch again, he made a complete recovery and won 20 games for the 1930 St. Louis Browns.
