1926-26 "Exhibit Style" Gehrig
I've always been confused about the distinction on this issue between the "plain" background and the "photo" background. Here's a nice one at REA graded as the plain background but I'd say this is the photo background.
https://bid.robertedwardauctions.com...e?itemid=49810 I think the grading companies are all over the place on these. Isn't this the one on the left the plain background? But then here's another one graded like the REA example.
