The Perfect Evening 2006 Celebrating Don Larsen
I just received this 2006 program to The Perfect Evening, which celebrated the 50th anniversary of Don Larsen's World Series Perfect Game.
HOFer Randy Johnson (The Big Unit) just added has signature and perfect game date inscription to the program. This has been a project that I started in 2006 and I now have 10 of the 11 living perfect game pitchers that had pitched a perfect game by 2006. A long-time hobby friend of mine Joe DeMattio (RIP) attended this event and sat at Tom Browning's table and was thoughtful enough to have him sign and personalize the program for me. Kenny Rogers (AKA The Gambler) is the last remaining signature that I need to complete this project. Unfortunately, Rogers is an infrequent signer at shows, so I guess I have to continue playing the waiting game..
