I was a rare board member who had something of a tolerance for Adrian. One thing i will say for him is that when he wanted something, he went after it hard. He and I often looked for similar cards and he would pay at least half again what I would be willing to. I have a lot more respect for people…even crazy people…who put their money where their mouth is than I do for big mouth tire kickers. He also would make sacrifices to get what he wanted. When he bought the Plank, he had to sell a classic car he had an affinity for to afford it…again, it was something he was willing to pay a good deal more for than I thought it was worth. I conversed with him a lot and even got to the point of negotiating a bit for his other Magie…and I actually did buy a few cards from him. Certainly and interesting guy.
