Are there any Southern League players that tend to be more difficult to come across than others?

LOL, I doubt you'll get many to answer that question here. I've been collecting T206's for well over 15 years now. In my experience Greminger, Cranston, Reagan, Ellam, and Breitenstein all used to be tougher to find than most others.

I would agree with Dave on that. I bought a collection of about 300 and bought 2 lots from the beantown find and those guys were not anywhere to be seen.

Ed Foster is a tough SL'er. I sold a really beautiful PSA 4 w/ Old Mill reverse some time ago.......been regretting it ever since.

I agree with Foster...here are my two.
![]() ![]() Also I think a nice Hooker is hard to find. I should probally add a rim shot sound effect to that line but the card is tougher I think to find in good shape. Cheers, John |

Maybe because of multiple effects, but I had a hard time finding Shag.

In no particular order:
Foster, Ellam, Bay, Breitenstein, Carey......... I also think that Shaughnessy is tough, but not because it is any rarer than others, but rather that it may be the most popular and sought after SLer.........some collectors may have even hoarded Shag over the years. |

Hey John,
Sometimes you just have to settle for low-budget Hookers.... ![]() |

Thanks for all the responses. I hope to add quite a few SL'ers to my set by the end of 2011, so I figured I would tackle a couple of tough ones early on.
Thanks again!
