Does anyone know how to determine what series run a box of 1960 Topps wax pack comes from. For example here is an eaby auction for a sealed box
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...=STRK:MEWAX:IT Is there a way to tell what series it is from and an approx value? |

Some of the boxes you can tell the series by the inserts advertised. it may be possible to tell otherwise by stuff like the item # or other design differences, but I don't know of any guides.
The box shown is shrink wrapped, but not "sealed" at one time a bunch of people would put some sort of filler in the empty boxes and wrap them with a shring wrapping kit. Makes them a lot less fragile for display. Steve B |

i thought the box design was the same for all the series, same box design for series 1 thru 7.

1960 boxes are probably all the same. I wrote the earlier bit in a hurry this morning. Since 1960 had no inserts they would have used the same design. And since there's no item number that woudn't make any difference.
The part about it being an empty box with modern shrink wrap is right though. Steve B |
