I voted for King Carl setting down 5 in a row. Just seeing that number of legendary hall-of-famers playing in a single game (during baseball's most glorious era) made it an easy choice for me... since I could only pick one game!
The post-war game will be an even bigger no-brainer for me... sure hope you include it among the voting choices (hint: don't forget about a mid-seventies World Series, and a ball hit ominously down the left field line....) |

Once again you've tugged on the ol' heart strings, Jimmy. I have to go with Hubbell as well. And, that's not even because I love the man so much. Well, maybe it is a little bit.
But really, being at the Polo Grounds in 1934? When all of those colorful advertisements adorned the outfield walls? And in bright sunlight, a packed house watching the likes of Ruth, Gehrig, Foxx, Simmons, Gehringer, Dickey and Gomez? Heck, and that's just on the AL side. What about Hubbell, Ott, Traynor, Hartnett, Dean, Frisch, and Medwick? What a sight it must have been. I swear, I have dreams about all of the color that must have been in that ballpark. And 'yes', I do need to get a life...

My choice is not on the list!
I would have loved to have been @ Game 5 of the '56 WS to see Don Larsen's Perfect Game!

Hard to pick one of these
I guess I like the Teddy 6 for 8 the best if I had to pick just one.
Type 1 Photo after going 6 for 8 ; his 400 mark solidified.
