Although my last jaunt down memory lane wasn't that well received I never tire of seeing things related to the hobby many years ago....I picked this up from a board member recently as a single page and bought it for my collection of hobby related items.....I hope some will enjoy.....(large scan on purpose)...best regards |

I'm most impressed with Buck Barker's two-color typewriter ribbon. I think you used to be able to hit a shift key to change colors. |

Interesting piece, Leon. Thanks for posting it. Besides the "All Time Teams" and other pertinent information in the letter, notice Barker's address is 206 Runyon. |

Now this is what is meant by the "backbone of the hobby." Let us never forget the pioneers who loved baseball, the cards and the hobby in general. |

Good points Tbob....they were definitely doing it for the love of the game and this letter is solid proof of that. Very interesting to me that Buck Barker was interested in the original uniforms the players were wearing before the artists changed them. |

After seeing the same cards being sold over and over again on ebay, it seems like more people like the money rather than the cards.... |
