Interesting 3/4 page article in the most recent SCD about Mr. Mint pulling out of the National forever over table location. |

Lawn chairs just outside the front door have a much better position than does darn tables anyway. |

Did anyone notice where Mr. Mint was located this year? He was in the front row but about as far away from the main entrance doors as a front row table could be. I did a double take when I saw the location. He seemed rather quiet. I'm pretty sure that he didn't get first crack at any collections that walked through the door. |

he wasn't right at the entrance in Chicago either. I didn't even miss him until I stopped to talk to a dealer and caught the shiney head out of the corner of my eye. I doubt that no one will miss his presence, except his lackies that bought the cards he conned people out of. |

For some reason, the Anaheim Convention center switched entrances during the National. Apparently, they were only to use the far entrance (by the 300 aisle), but they pretty much used the middle entrance (near the 1300 aisle). Really surprised a lot of the dealers. Guess Mr. Mint took the brunt of it. |

It's a real shame he didn't have front door access! Because from what I heard the booth was a lot of fun! |

There seems to be a disproportionate number of pictures of Leon either eating or hanging out with Mr. Mint. Leon, I'm glad you are a good sport. |

First of all that is just a great pic of Sugar Warshaw. Secondly, I think I had found the answer to the National "food" blues. I didn't eat one thing "at" the convention center. That big burger and fries I am eating was from the Hilton, where we were staying, and it was only a few feet away, across the street. It was a great burger.....Salad bar was good too.....but not enough fat...... |
