It may be sad in a sense that collectors don't like altered cards, but that is extremely cool in my opinion. |

Not sad at all...it means the guy loved his cards instead of tucking them away in a drawer. I remember making a display like that with my 1989 Donruss cards of the Oakland A's - the centerpiece was a Kirk Gibson card that I drew a big black "X" on with a marker. |

Swartz had the eye. This set looks way better without the white borders, as do most strip cards. Im not sure about removing the backgrounds though. Maybe it grows on you. Jay seems to like his Walter Johnson. |
