Just got home from it... Tons of T-206's; didn't see much in M's... Don't remeber tables though... One guy has a "bargain" box of T-206's for $15 and under - nice stuff in there too!

It seemed like every other table had some nice T206's. I didn't pick up any cards, but I did pickup a 1960's Fred A Kail large Eagles statue. This completes my Eagles Kail collection. I know everyone collect vintage cards, and I know this is off topic, but does anyone here collect vintage bobbleheads or Kail statues?
Anyone know of a cool forum like this one for those type collectibles?

Last year there were a few deals around. I'm not sure that will still be the case. Price's on the bay seem to have gone nuts in the past year.

Between Friday nite and today, 7 Forum members found me at the
Show (booth 212). And, it was really fun talking BaseBall and
BB cards. And, comparing notes about the various dealers at the
show. And, even doing some serious card deals.

Most of all it was great meeting and talking with a real person
instead of just having impersonal "electronic" conversations in
cyberspace on this Forum.

I hope you got the money you were looking for on that 19th century set. It was one of the neatest items I've seen. I would have loved to try that in our auction. Very curious what that would have gone for.

Josh, It was great meeting you . I enjoyed your enthusiasm . I sold the item for 2k , which is a realistic price , I think . I needed the money quickly so thats why I went with the direct sale . I will definitely keep you in mind for future auctions .
Fred, It was a set of fifty small booklets titled , "History of Poor Boys " . I can give you the contact info of the buyer if you send me an e-mail .

I was there Friday night. Fantastic show !!! It was truly a pleasure meeting & speaking to dealer Ted Z !!! Each show seems to be better than the last one. A lot of dealers were there that had not been there in a while !!!

Thanks Alan for the nice comments....I enjoyed chatting
with you in person.

Altogether, at least 10 Forum members were at my booth
during the three days of the show. Most were from the area
(Del, MD, NJ, NY and PA); and, one was all the way from
the mid-west.

I had a great conversation with Lyle Jobe; and, really
appreciated seeing his 19th Century Non-Sports collection
which was displayed on many pages within a large album.

We commiserated over some nice Ty Cobb cards of his, which
we both agreed were very "under-graded". His Sports King
Cobb is the nicest one I've ever seen in 25 years. Since it
the #1 card in that set, it is always found in Vg, or worse.

And, I dare not forget the "inimitable" Dan McKee; a long-tme
veteran of the Philly Show going back to the old Willow Grove
days.
