It's hard to believe the whole "rubber band theory" when it comes to these cards. They're so thin that a rubber band would destroy a bunch of them if they were all together, not just the top and bottom ones. On another note, I need some Buffalo and Rochester cards from this set, if you have some doubles or are looking to dump some off. |

The explanation is perhaps simple: in 1912, all rubberbands were used by Canadian kids to hold up their shinpads when they played hockey. (regrettably, that vintage practice has been replaced with velcro fasteners) |
