I just purchased my first 1917 M101-4 that was in a "better than average condition" from the local dealer. It was only a few bucks so I figured what the hell. Can anyone tell me what kind of paper stock this should have? It seems kinda stiff, much thicker than the T206s I have. I'm assuming its a reprint, can anyone help so I know what to look for next time? |

Soudns like it should be OK. It should have a glossy surface to it. A scan would help. The easiest wa to tell if these are reprints is to look at the black line that frames the picture. If it's tight against the picture, it is good. If there is a noticeable gap, then it is a reprint. |

the paper used on m101s is more rigid and has a different feel than T206. A reprint is far less rigid, and is often transclucent. I assume you are talking about an m101-4 from 1916. |

thanks, i havent had time to get photo but im also retarded (no offense) when it comes to posting a link or scan. the black line is very close to the photo, there is no "gap". and i was told 1917 but 1916 would work. oh, there is also a little gloss to the card as well. |
