Has it been a common practice over the years (1940's - 1980's) for MLB teams and professional Minor League teams to give away/sell vintage team photos picturing the entire team from season to season? |

I would guess that nearly every pro team has team photos each year, in some shape or form. Today's Seattle Mariners issue team litho pictures each year. It's sponsored and you can get a free one from the supermarket, ACE hardware of wherever. I have the 2001 "Ichiro Rookie" team photo. You can even get the Seahawks Cheerleaders team photo in similar fashion. |

I would say it was the norm for most professional teams to do a team photo that they would either sell or give away every year. |

I just picked up the below 1941 Rochester Red Wings Minor League Team Photo on ebay. Does it appear to be an original vintage team issued piece? |
