Kenny ColeI feel relatively confident that they are all fake. At least the one I received from him was. In my case, he used a scan of what looked like a real '33 Goudey Ruth (#53), then sent me a fake which he'd tried to doctor up to look like the scan. I knew that was probably going to happen, because after I paid (and the check cleared), but before I got the card, I got an e-mail from someone else who had been defrauded by this same seller, telling me that he was stealing scans and sending out fakes.
When I told him I wanted a refund because the Ruth card he'd sent me wasn't the one I'd bought and was a fake, he sent me an email saying that there were no refunds on ungraded cards because he couldn't guarantee their authenticity. Since I imagine that he's making the cards he's sending out himself, that is probably the truest thing he's said.
I've already filed a fraud complaint with the FBI's internet fraud division, have complained to eBay, and am in the process of filling out a mail fraud complaint with the USPS. I'm also going to contact the New York Attorney General's office and file a fraud complaint against him. I don't know if doing any of that will make a difference, but I'm hoping that if I keep screaming, someone will eventually do something about this scumbag.
