The scan is fuzzy on my computer. KSA is a decent grading company for Hockey material. What makes you wonder if this card is fake, other than the mania surrounding the Gretzky rookie fakes in general? Todd |

The image is too small and too pixelated to tell. Request a larger, more-detailed image from the seller. |

Hard to tell from the scan but I was told by a knowledgable person on this board that the O-Pee-Chee Gretzky Rookies have a yellow dot on his left shoulder. If there is no dot it is a reprint/fake. I am assuming the Topps are the same, but I might be wrong ( I dont see a yellow dot on the left shoulder here) |

The Gretzky Topps rookies are different from OPC. They do not have the yellow dot. I would agree with MW that KSA has plenty of experience grading the OPC Gretzky, I am not so certain about the Topps. Regardless, I do not think KSA would put a counterfeit Gretz rookie in a holder. Plus, the Gretz rookie is one of the few cards where you might benefit from having it graded by KSA. KSA 8's often come back PSA or SGC 6's and a KSA 8 will sell for more than a PSA or SGC 6. |
