Default 1956 Rochester Shoe Store PC Of 1955 NBA Champs

I got this some time ago and just stored it away. Rochester Sample Shoe Store Ad on left side of postcard back. And Syracuse Nationals season ticket ad on the right side. Front pictures the then current NBA Champion Syracuse Nationals. 70 years old!!

Anybody else got vintage NBA postcards???

This is very cool! I see HOFer Dolph Schayes. I have this Marques Haynes signed postcard postmarked in 1951:

These PC sized schedule cards don't exactly answer the call of the question but I do love to show them off:

And an actual PC

Thanks; been collecting them for years. Not easy. Some day I will fill in the gaps, I hope.

I would say that I had a much more hopeful attitude towards finding some of the more obscure items on my Basketball want list say 10 years ago. But as time goes on it seems less and less items have been popping up. Both online and at shows. But if I come across any Knicks Schedule cards like these I will drop you a line.

Thanks, Jonathan. Funny thing is, I'm a Lakers fan, not a Knicks fan, but I fell for these cards and...you know the story. At least the 1961 has my alltime favorite on it (Wilt). Speaking of which, here's a fun little PC sized team issue mail response card:

Originated with his sister, Shirley:

Not NBA postcards, but I think these old postcards showing basketball at the Far Eastern Championship Games are neat. 1917-1923 era cards so over 100 years old. And I love the 1970 Slovenian postcard showing the US team at the FIBA basketball world cup, including Bill Walton while in high school and a couple other future ABA/NBA players...

Do you have a better pic of the 1970 postcard? I've never seen it and wanted to see the ABA names. Very cool

I originally tried to post a larger picture but it didn’t upload. Hopefully this works better. No big names other than Walton, but Darnell Hillman, Warren Isaac, Garfield Smith were all pro players. Tal Brody also has a fascinating story…

Here's mine signed by the late HOFer, Bill Walton. If I ever see Jewish Israeli great, Tal Brody, I'll get him to sign it, too.
