Default This takes the Cake! Ebay Authentication What a JOKE!

So I get this kick back from Ebay authentication. PSA Graded VG-EX 4 Doyle T206. I read their illiterate notes and have to call. Looks like I didn't have "Joe" in my title they are kicking this back. Are you PHKG Kidding me???????

The worst part about this hobby is the staggering amount which buyers and sellers allow entities with little to no knowledge to control their lives and money. There are workarounds to these issues. If only people would refuse to deal with these headaches and companies, the nonsense could one day dissipate, although seemingly never die completely. ...but we know that will never happen.

Usually they mention the title if there is something wrong with the title. In this case they used the words "listing details - player" which leads me to believe they are taking issue with the fill in the blank portion of the listing where you put the player name. What was in that field?

But if that's all it is, they will allow the buyer to still receive the card. So at worst it just delays delivery a day or so.

EDIT: I found the listing. You put Larry Doyle in the details of the description.

Assuming I found the right listing, it looks like the issue is you listed the player as "Larry Doyle" under Item Specifics. Nitpicky in this specific situation, sure, but they were right to catch it.

Damn good catch! WOW! Who would have thunk that would kick back a PSA graded card with Giant pictures.

I hear you but the big problem is the visibility ebay gets and my items are up 24/7/365

I would have never found that so thanks guys..... This isn't an old man's game any more. If a tiny mistake like that kicks back a sale then I am doomed! They did offer the buyer his choice so hopefully that "Larry" is meaningless. Just seems crazy to me but I guess it is the way they are going with nit picking these listings.

At least they asked the buyer if they still wanted the item.

That's a somewhat new one for me from EBay and it's nice to see that option.

To be fair, even the American Tobacco Company messed this up.

The reason there's a Doyle, N.Y., Natl. variation is because ATC confused Joe Doyle with someone else.

Larry Doyle was a second baseman for the New York National League team.
