Default 53 Mantle - Real or Reprint?

This 53 Mantle is in amazing condition. Perfect centering, clean front and back.
Would be graded better than a 4 by any of the grading companies. Not familiar with GMA. Am I missing something?

Perfect centering? No
Better than most yes but not perfect. Centering is the first thing i look at on a card and especially when someone calls it "perfect"
Not familiar with the grading company but will be curious to see other replies.

Pefectly centered vintage cards are very rare. That one shown isn't perfect but it's really nice. Not sure about the TPG or the card though.

I wouldn't touch this card with a 10 foot pole.

Cards like this, that look this nice, keep me from buying them. I always think there's something I don't know about it. But it does look really nice, with not perfect centering

Looks good to me but with those corners I would suspect trimming. I am far from an expert though.

I'm not sure you can say that from these photos. Surface wrinkles are easily hidden in photos like this, and would automatically drop a grade with the other grading companies.

I would bet the top edge is trimmed.

I don’t see obvious signs in the scan of it being fake but definitely looks short top to bottom. I would make a safe bet it’s trimmed.

Grading top cards with questionable grading companies is grade shopping. You’re likely subbing a card to several until you get a bad card past the catcher. I wouldn’t give this a second thought and just keep clicking. Betting there’s also some pressing involved.
