Default Fantasy Baseball Question - keep Witt (1st round) or Woods (21st round)

Not sure if there are many crossovers here who also play fantasy baseball but if so….

I can’t decide on my 2nd keeper in my 14 team 6x6 Roto league (we added TB and QS’s)

I am keeping Crochet as my last round keeper but can’t decide between:
Witt as my first round (4th pick overall) keeper
or James Wood and my 20th round keeper
This is the list of players likely available (with 3 teams choosing from this list ahead of me);

Carroll
JRam
Tatis Jr
Alvarez
Gunnar
and Witt, of course… if I drop him.

Wheeler is also available but hard to see him going anywhere near this early.

My heart says keep Witt and Crochet and move on and enjoy having one of these best and most exciting hitters in the game.

But my head (and calculator) says take the obvious value and keep Wood and enjoy whomever is left over from that list above (assuming Witt and JRam are gone 1,2 in my draft)

thoughts?

(And for those who play, good luck with YOUR draft!)

I would actually keep Witt and Wood. Pitchers are more easily replaceable than stud hitters.

Your heart says Witt.......but your heart AND Brain should be saying Witt.
I think its a no brainer to keep Witt.

I looked at it closer, are you picking third in the draft? If so, you may want to consider keeping Wood. Then you may be able to get Witt back when you pick third. If he is gone, then you get Gunner, or Ramirez.

So basically if you keep Witt, then you have Witt and whomever you pick in the 20th round.

Or if you keep Wood, then you have Wood AND Witt, or Gunner, or Ramirez, or Alvarez, or Carroll.

Am i understanding correctly?
