2024 New Acquisitions Thread

Start this new year off with First Game of First BAA Championship April 1947. NBA records also claim this series as the First NBA title. Won by the Philadelphia Warriors over the Chicago Stags. Took a long time to put one of these in my collection. Would like to track down a 48/49 and a 49/50 Finals program if anyone has one they would part with I am sure it would be woorth their while to drop me a line.

1926-1927 Philadelphia Warriors of The ABL pocket mirror mirror. Eddie Gotlieb and the first year of the first Professional Philadelphia Warriors. Unfortunately the first iteration of the Philadelphia Warriors only lasted 2 seasons. But came back strong reforming as part of the new BAA in 1946 and claiming the first championship in BAA / NBA History.

Picked this up with with a group of Browns scorecards. 58 was THE year for the Hawks. All star game at home... They get the bye in the playoffs and take down the Celtics in the Finals! ( ok Russell was injured) for the only championship in Hawks History.
2024 was a good year for my Basketball collection started with a 46/47 Finals program the 1926 Warriors pocket mirror, a beautiful signed Lakers photo from 54, and finished with this. Happy to care for them until it's time to let them go. And looking forward to 2025..
