Makes me wonder what kind of coverage they got in the black press of the day, if any. Feel free to decline to answer, but I'm curious what you paid for it. My old Hunt's password seems to have become defunct due to inactivity, I guess.

I really like Orange Border cards, and the Plank is a great looking example from the set. Congrats on the pickup. I cropped and resized the image to make your card look even more greatastically better.

Default Speaker and Greenburg error

Picked up these two this month. Tough Speaker postcard and another Greenburg error. Looked nice and was pretty reasonable I thought so bought another copy of my favorite card.

It's definitely always cool to own something this rare

Will go to SGC but honestly I have no clue what the market would be these days. It seems like one of the nicer examples

Finally knocked off last HOF ...................

It only took me almost two years of collecting this set to realize Carey was his rookie card .........

Sitting at 197 ......

Nice job Scott. 197 T207 cards in less than two years is impressive. I think anything over 120 or so gets really tough to come by.

I have always liked the way the T207 artist(s) depicted wavy hair on many of the cards, including Carey's. Bresnahan comes to mind as another HOF with prominent wavy locks.

Brian

Not to high-jack a thread ...... ....... but by request .....

up11c.jpg

Two great examples of why, imo, T207s are a great set: Classic fielding poses, and some GREAT portraits ..................

Based on design, Hooper obviously comes with an Anon.3 back. That would be a card I'd like to have (one day ) as I am trying to get as many Recruit Anon.3s as possible.

Fun, fun, Scott

Some fun items at Hakes. I don't always keep track of their auctions, but glad I knew about this one. Absolutely psyched about the Hubbell. It's been on my wish list for years.

Not sure what back you're referring to, John. Hooper's now known with 5 backs, with 1 other possible:

Recruit Fac 240
Recruit Fac 606
Napoleon
Anon, Fac 3
blank

He could also be found with a brown-ink back, but that's unconfirmed at the present.

Here's the 5 known backs - the blank back images are from a recent CleanSweep auction - it is not my card.
