Default 1915 Cracker Jack set - all 176 cards - POSSIBLY for sale

I have really enjoyed owning this set but frankly it gave me more enjoyment putting it together.

I do not have a price in mind and I am not even sure if I would be able to pull the trigger on selling it. So what am I doing? I am looking to see if there is someone who wants to own/ buy the complete set, if so feel free to make me an offer like the Godfather. An offer I cant refuse - lol.

I can send anyone who is seriously interested in an excel sheet identifying each card and its grade. Here is a breakdown of all the cards, I've added the biggies by their grades.

The reason for considering to sell is I am getting older (56) and I could use this money to do some nice big ticket traveling with my family while I am still in excellent health. I definitely do not want to leave my collection as an inheritance as all they see are dollar signs.

Grade / PSA/ SGC

1 / 30 / 2 Cobb, Carey, Huggins, Rousch
1.5 / 12 / 2 Hooper, McGraw, Rickey
2 / 41 / 0 Jackson, Jennings, Mathewson
2.5 / 7 / 3 Honus Wagner
3 / 33 / 10 Johnson, Walsh, Alexander, Marquard, Speaker, Lajoie, Clarke, Maranville, Griffith
3.5 / 3 /1 Schalk
4 / 2 / 4 Brown, Cicotte
4.5 / 1 / 1 Baumgardner, Downey
5 / 1 / 2 Lobert, Evers, Doyle
6 / 1 / 1 Magee, Easterly
6.5 / 1 /1 Archer, Peckinpaugh
7 / 1 / 0 Bridwell
7.5 / 1 / 0 Frank Smith
8.5 / 0 / 1 Wheat is an SGC 8.5
134 + 28 + 14 ungraded cards = 176

I've switched my focus to comic books! looking for AF #15, Hulk #1, TTA #13, TTA #27 and X-Men #1 prefer blue CGC 2.5. I cannot afford a 2.5 Superman #! or Detective Comics #27 so would consider less grades for only those two books.

Classic case of "the chase is better than the catch".

Congrats on completing the set, and good luck with the sale.

Micah first of all HUGE Congrats to finishing this set! It's an incredible hobby accomplishment. I would warn you though to make 1000% sure you want to sell before you actually go through with it. I know the journey is many times more fun than the finish but regret also sucks big time. I've been in your shoes and know exactly how you're feeling.

I see that this set got posted on reddit and twitter by an "Auctions Monthly" that doesn't in fact run any auctions in any time frame. Have you officially consigned with this person? What is the benefit of this middle man outfit vs going direct to an auction house?
