1979 Hostess Murphy Panel Brown Letter Proof
So I have a full panel of the 1979 Murphy Hostess brown letter proof. The back is printed with brown letters and the front of the panel has the printer “asterisk” (for lack of a better word) between the individual cards.
I can’t find any “brown letter proofs” listed in the PSA or SGC population reports. Has anyone ever seen this type of Hostess panel before? I’m curious if the brown letter proof panel would be recognized by the grading companies.

I have seen a few brown letter/proofs of this panel sell in recent years...please see one of them attached.
I have not submitted or have seen if PSA will label as a proof or designate the color of the back's lettering. I would recommend asking a mod to move this thread to the post war section so more eyeballs see your thread as you pose a good question.

PSA doesn't designate brown printing backs. I don't know if they designate proofs or not.
