Not sure if we have had a thread like this, it would be nice to have other eyes looking out for cards that have disappeared. I’ll start out and show this 1891 Cy Young rookie cab8net card which magically walked out of my closet years ago.

What makes you think that is Cy? Is it the ears? Just kidding
![]() Nice cabinet! Not sure I would have misplaced something like that, but I've done crazier things, but not with a cool cabinet like that. I hope you find it.

Wow, what a card to be missing. What is the story? Or what do you suspect happened? Hope you get it back. Regards, |

I sent these four 1908-09 Pirate HOF photos to PSA for slabbing (I know, I know). FedEx misdelivered the photos on the return. They were signed for by someone who doesn't work in my office, and the security cameras showing all four sides of the building recorded no FedEx deliveries that day. I will say that PSA stepped up and reimbursed me for the full declared value of the photos, plus my shipping and slabbing fees; and were very helpful once I was finally put in contact with the right people. To this day I could care less about the money, I'd much rather have the photos back as they were important to my Pirates/Deadball era collection. This happened in December 2022 and I still check eBay, auction sites, local Facebook marketplace, etc. at least monthly hoping they will turn up so I can possibly buy them back. It still makes me sick when I think about them.

Man I feel for both the posters so far.... I bet these things will surface eventually and now with more eyes on them thanks to this thread. Keep hope alive! I know a lot of us will be on the lookout and both being such unique items they should be easy to remember and spot when they do show up. BTW I think this thread is a great idea IMHO.

Not quite the same theme but both of these were snatched off my porch on Saturday.

I also don’t think I realized how tall Willis was…6’2” was exceptionally tall for the time period.

Rhett, it surprises me to learn that Willis was apparently taller than WaJo, whose height was 6'1" per baseballreference.com.

The T3 for Willis definitely makes him seem pretty lanky.

![]() ![]() Including this one from a couple of years ago, I previously made posts about it. It was delivered to the wrong house, immediately showed up about a week later in a new auction, on ebay, in New Jersey (For reference I live in NY). Ended up finding a replacement for it, in a lower grade, but still to this day, I'd rather have the card. Probably long since been cracked and reslabbed. It is what it is. If anyone sees it, please let me know.
