How does this happen?
1972 Topps Clemente In Action auto authenticated “in person” by GAI which was founded over 30 years after Clemente died. Sells for $650 on a BIN. The only way this could even possibly make sense is if the auto was from the authenticator’s personal collection, I suppose.

GAI would certify a signed 2023 Roberto Clemente card if you pay them enough.

Talked to Steve Sipe, who runs the "new" Global company. This is from the old one, but he has their database. Shocker, it's a forged holo and cert.
