Forged T206 Signed Cards In the News

Article doesn't give much info unfortunately...curious what auction houses sold them and if a TPA passed them (as typical when you cosign something to an auction house) or how he was caught...

There was a few signed T206s in auction recently and I did thought about getting them. After some thought, i was just thinking even if they were legit, I still don't think they are good investment anymore since no one can really guarantee they were legit even they are in holders. It is so sad......

Sadly another day another story on people trying to play the system and make money off the hobby.
But it is to be expected as the money goes up and dis honest people always follow to scam people

Just got finished reading about this - Sad for the hobby - once again! I have been buying a good amount of autos the last few years - glad none of them had been T206 cards!

For those complaining how long investigations take
Here was a sentence from the article
"where they sold for thousands of dollars between 2015 and 2017." This is now 2022 so it's 7 years between the auctions and being charged. I know patience is hard for many people in today's world but we all need patience Rich
