Default E 91-A +++ New Collector

Hello, Candy Guys !!!!

After 10+ years of playing the T206 game (and still going), I have decided on a "new adventure."

I have chosen the E91-A American Caramel set. I like the fact that it came out in 1908, a year before the big "card explosion." and that the images actually look (somewhat) like the player. That, and the set seems doable (HAHA, no Cobb or Wagner ). Also three GREAT teams with all notable players (why Giant's 2B Shay over Doyle, I'm not sure )

I have started off pretty well, with 15 cards (two HOF: Evers and Tinker).

I am a lower grade and raw collector (although I have cracked out many a card )

So, if anyone has any cards available, please let me know. Looking for commons around $75 (up to $100). Not to familiar with HOF prices, but would consider anything out there.

I prefer correspondence to -- mybuddyinc@yahoo.com

Thanks, Scott

Hi Scott,
one of my projects, the E91.
Top row is "A", four HOFers and Devlin.
Bottom row is "B"; I included in pic because of the HOFers, Marquard and Baker; some feel that RC could be attached here as well.

What I find cool about Bresnahan (top/left); this is his True RC, to me.
Next is Plank, E91A; I call it a twist on "Franken Card"; in that, it couldn't be separated from other cards it was stacked with; the back has a legible part of Kling's name; therefore, "A".
Next, both Waddell and Chance have an E107; this (E91A) would be RC for the rest of us, lol. (Including the Plank, BTW)

Thanks to Brian (brianp-beme), I love all the character of this set.
Everything is for sale; I welcome dialog on this awesome group.

Thanks for kind and encouraging words, guys.

Ben, interesting Plank, indeed !!! (I actually have the ones you have shown). Also never thought about the True Rookie cards in set. Makes for EXTRA FUN !!

Will get some scans as they become available.

I have a lot of T206 friends, nice to add some Caramel Friends.

Fun, fun, Scott

Cool, Scott!
The Bresnahan, to me; is a solid "True RC"; I prefer the "baseball card", inserted into product; over the Card Game deck, post card, supplement, etc. See attached tcdb graphic.
I hope that Brian (brianp-beme) checks in on this thread; his awesome work on the set has been shared (I hope, Archived) before but it is worth the search. Maybe he will share the threads of which I speak.
The, "Franken-Plank" is one of my collection faves; such a cool, unknown history to it.
