Default OT: Obit of Ed Lucas, Blind Baseball Announcer

https://www.nytimes.com/2021/11/16/s...ucas-dead.html

Just read Ed's obit in today's NYT. To be honest, I knew nothing of him. The opening few paragraphs about how he was permanently blinded are shocking.
The last couple of paragraphs about what Ron Swoboda did for him will have you tearing up. Ed was an amazing man who led an amazing life. It humbled me. If the link doesn't work, you can read the obit at www.nytimes.com. Well worth your time, IMHO.

What a story. They say he was about as nice and real a guy as you would ever want to know. I read that a feature film about him is being made.
