This is one of my favorite threads ever, so great to see these amazing rarities. I have some things on the memorabilia side, and have dealt many more, that are the only copies of an item I've ever seen in many decades of looking for this stuff. A lot of these cards would seem to fall into the same category, and it always begs the question for me: how in the world can there apparently only be one (or several, accounting for items in collections that have never been made public, or that I'm not aware of) of these things? I'd love to know the stories behind them.

Not too many S74 Red Sun baseball players out there. The Tinker is a promo piece for a stage show he did so not really from a set, but I haven't seen another.

During my continuing research to find a second one of these 1904 pieces, I was surprised to find out that there was no Major League World Series played in 1904.
John McGraw, and Giants Owner (John T. Brush), refused to play the Boston Americans. There is an excellent book written on this subject by Benton Stark (1991).

I acquired this very rare composite 31 years ago, while set-up at the Cooperstown HOF weekend Baseball Card Show. A gentleman "walked-in" with it, he was
interested in it's trade value. I gave him a fair figure and he traded it to me for a bunch of T206 stars and commons.
I have searched for another one since 1990, but to no avail.

Incidentally, a Net54 member inquired which Delahanty brother is pictured on this Buffalo Bisons team......Joseph Delahanty.

One more 1915 W-unc. Also, Kelly and actor Norman Kerry from the 1923 "Shoulderless" set. Kerry was best known for being in the original film production of "Phantom of the Opera".

Dang Val, I might have pushed the bidding up on that had I seen it. I don't know that "scarce" is the right word for the Gassler's...but they've certainly proven to be tough to find. I like the simple b&w issues' of the 1920s

Dave, I wish you had seen my Crowley's Milk card and pushed the bidding up! I'm with you regarding the b&w issues of the 1920's, and I do consider Gassler's Bread cards to be scarce. Here's my Gassler's card along with another very scarce card of Pat (with no " ") Shea:

The Sylvan Sweets order card would fit the call of the question; the flip books are uncommon but findable, but the order cards, yeah, not so much. Took me a few years and a lucky break at the 2019 National:



Now this one is modern (1982) but I had never seen one before I added it to my Aaron collection:




From a tour of the Korean professional baseball league that Aaron and Ernie Banks (among others) did in 1982. Not sure who made it since I don't read Korean but the mascot looks like a wiener in formal wear. I dunno.

"Tetelo Vargas was a player with exceptional skills in nearly all aspects of the game. He hit for average, had good power for his physique, and was a superb defender. He possessed a strong throwing arm and superior speed – which won him the nickname El Gamo Dominicano, or “The Dominican Deer.” He was an excellent base-stealer as well. His complexion kept him on the wrong side of the major leagues’ color barrier – he was 41 when Jackie Robinson arrived. Yet Vargas accomplished much in more than three decades of professional baseball (1923-1956), a career that took him from his homeland to Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Cuba, Canada and the U.S. Negro Leagues. He is unequivocally recognized as the greatest Dominican player of his era. 1871 Troy Haymaker Scorecard

This Player photo / Scorecard is rarely seen. It is not the most aesthetically appealing piece; however, it's historical value and scarcity are very significant.

The Troy Haymakers participated in the first professional pennant race of 1869. They joined the first BB professional league (National Association) in 1871.
Their 1871 W-L record was 13 - 15. In 1872, they improved with a 15 - 10 W-L record (5th place standing). This was their last season due to their claim of
insufficient funding.

Pictured here is William "Clipper" Flynn....BA = .338 in the 29-game season of 1871.
