Default Sold! 1965 Topps Mickey Mantle

***Card is sold! Thanks all for looking.***

F/S 1965 Topps Mickey Mantle

**Based on some of the comments below, I took a closer look at my order from PSA and the card was in fact noted as N8: MISCUT**

I got this back from PSA ungraded and labeled as miscut. I had asked for no qualifiers and I think that's why.

The miscut is on the back, which may not bother some as much. Otherwise good looking card with nice corners.

Especially considering recent developments at PSA & SGC, I'm unlikely to resubmit this myself anytime soon. I'm asking $500 OBO. Please feel free to ask me questions.

Do not want to interfere in your thread here, but I thought it was important to point this out. That 'miscut' designation is probably the 'N8' variety, where it's not a traditional miscut that could be labeled as 'MC' on the label. It very well could mean 'there's no way in heck we're putting that card in a holder.' I received the same looking thing on a 1963 Topps Berra that I submitted in the group sub. We didn't mark 'no qualifiers,' so PSA simply refused to grade it and wrote 'MISCUT' on the printed sticker and returned the card.

Someone else here would probably be better at spelling out the technicalities of what I am trying to say here, but my main point is that there are two types of miscuts - one that would get a qualifier, and one that doesn't fit into PSA's grading standards and is sent back ungraded.

Good luck.

Spelling "Yastrzemski" correctly without needing to look it up since the 1980s.

Overpaying yesterday is simply underpaying tomorrow.

Thanks for the insight. I posted the label too so folks could see what's going on. It may be that a resubmit to PSA would get it slabbed, or it might take trying another TPG. I sent this to them back in July, just got it back. I don't have the patience to resubmit it myself.

It's a clean card, looks great from the front, but clearly offset on the back.

Hopefully someone will appreciate it. Jolly, I would think this one is right up your alley!

Again, wasn't in any way, shape or form trying to interfere. Just wanted to give you some info that might be useful. Had never heard of this situation until I experienced it with my Berra.

This looks like one of those cases that Jolly described where you got an N8 Miscut for no good reason. If I was a gambling man, I'd buy this, resubmit, and be happy when it comes back a PSA 6 worth 2-3x what I paid.

If I had more patience I would have resubmitted it myself. Looks like I may end up holding on to it, which isn't a bad thing. Every time I've sold a Mantle the price seems to have jumped and I've regretted not keeping it.

I'm giving this one more bump. If it doesn't sell, I'll likely tuck it away and take another look at it in a few years, when Mantle prices will likely be higher

Just when I was getting comfortable with holding on to it

I'll send you a PM. I probably over-shared with this listing, but I wanted whoever ends up with it to know what PSA had said.
