Why does PWCC's go for $200 more than the other one, one day later?

Must be PWCCs high shipping fees, means it shipped safer.

My non-snarky and honest attempt to come up with a reason is that perhaps PWCC just gets that many more eyeballs and can reach that much more of the demand-side.

Three bidders took the card from $650 to the final price in the PWCC. A lot of times you have to throw these sales out when it is that thin passed what I call the pack of bidders.
I just looked at all three and nothing glaringly obvious sticks out on their bidding records. Could just be a few people got in the mindset that they wanted to win the auction they had been following. Peter I completely agree with you that some of this activity just leaves you scratching your head. PWCC has developed a brand and a loyal customer base and while I might bid slightly more for a card they are selling because of prior positive experience nearing 50% is just hard to explain. Many times in recent years the top Wrestling All Stars cards that come to market get consigned to them and so if I want the card I have no choice but to bid but if you were offering the card I would naturally bid too and hope I won. |

The bidder does have 13 retractions which I think is ridiculous but a low bid percentage with the seller and a broad mix of items bid on. He bid twice at $605 and $881 so potentially reasonable bidding. I am not sold that you can just look at all of this data and know for certain in most cases. Check out this item. https://www.ebay.com/bfl/viewbids/20...p2047675.l2565 I am 1132. My goal was to find the top bid and then went in higher in the final minute and still got smoked. Someone would look at this and say I was shilling when in reality I was just testing out the top bid knowing I was going higher. Last edited by Dpeck100; 05-01-2019 at 01:24 PM. |
