Maybe a disgruntled Mets fan? If only Gil had chipped in with a few Grand Slams, the 62 Mets could have made the playoffs!

My favorite has always been the 1941 Play Ball card of Harry "Gunboat" Gumpert.
If I recall correctly the first sentence on the back read..."Harry didn't set the baseball world on fire with his pitching last year. In fact at times he wasn't very good..." |
