Haven't been on in a while. Happy New Year, everybody. Anyway, wanted opinions on this Willie Mays autograph. The owner of the ball insists, through COAS, that it's legit. Just want some clarification from the experts.

			Terrible.

Even if it was good (which I’m 99% sure it’s not), the bluriness makes it pretty unattractive. Mays’ new style “W” looks nothing like the “4” you have.

Looks bad to me as well.

Hold out for a leather (not vinyl) baseball, signed in ballpoint (not felt tip) pen. You'll be much happier in the long-run. |

When it comes to Mays I stick to older NL baseballs. Newer balls especially with a Say Hey hologram are heavily forged. Anything with an inscription is suspect. Even if the ball in the photo is legitimate with a TPA LOA it would be worth less than $50 due to the condition.

supposedly as I read here on net54 a while back willie has started to take a ball he signed with a sharpie and instead of handing the ball back he would roll it causing it to smear.
