You've inspired me to dig out some old scan "groups" I assembled a few years ago. Excuse me while I pile on with more scans. Here's a "with bat" theme with appropriate wood background:  Some pretty good pitchers:  Chief Bender with a background idea I was attempting:  Similar framing with a Ty Cobb bat off:  And a non-T206 piece I put together for July 4th, 2013:

Most Of The Master Set :
 ..happened to be on the right teams at the right times and collected some nice world series memories ..the smaller card is part of the St. Louis Cardinals World Series Gold Medal (Wheaties) Premiums from 1934 ; the larger one is from the 1936 Cubs Team Issue Photo Pack.. but he's probably 'way more famous for his no-hitter when hurling for the 1940 Brooklyn Dodgers... ..
