Amazing scene as the crowd broke loose and followed him up the 18th fairway. Nothing like a story of redemption. I can still see those haunting pictures of him at his arrest.

I'm too young to have seen Nicklaus, Palmer, or Jones play but would put Woods at #1 based on what I've seen and read. In an era with a lot more competition he completely dominated for a decade. This wouldn't even be a debate were it not for his family issues and back problem.
But either way that was a remarkable tournament and scene. It will be fun to watch him next year in the majors.

I would argue Woods is the golf equivalent of Federer - a decent chunk of his career was spent beating up on a weaker tour. Not saying Tiger wasn't/isn't a great golfer, but when you list out the great golfers Tiger faced on a consistent basis vs. guys like Palmer/Nicklaus, I'd take Palmer's/Nicklaus' competition as a spectator.
