CY Young award
Hi guys. Anyone know why they’d named it the Cy Young award? Why not the Walter Johnson or Christy Mathewson award?
If it’s about the best pitcher for just that year perhaps they should create the Sandy Koufax award for the best pitcher since each league gets a Cy. Just curious on the back history of the award’s origin.
