Help ID old baseball postcard

Just won this in an auction so I don't have it in my possession yet, anyone help me ID the player ? I don't have the picture of back yet either.

Need to make the photo bigger so we can see his face...my guess a local team player.

Unless there is some other provenance, that is one of about 800 million generic postcards of old ballplayers. If you think it was a major leaguer then blowing up the picture would be helpful for id.

I have the postcard and can share more details. The player is referred to as Mac - the postcard was sent from Newport RI to NY City June 1915. The uniform has Jupiter down the front of the uniform. Thanks for any help here.

I'm new here and not sure about how ideas are shared, but regarding this postcard - the USS Jupiter was docked in Newport, RI in 1915 and that appears to be the deck of a ship. Navy sailors loved to play baseball and had teams on ships from what I have read. Just a thought maybe someone could expand on this thought. I like prewar items.

You're doing fine. We generally just share thoughts with any supporting info or evidence, just like you did. Your theory sounds eminently reasonable to me. Without doing any digging I was assuming a local team from Jupiter, Florida, but I think you've got it. Now the question is could it be a major leauger who was serving during WWI?
