Is there any consensus on whether or not some of these "short prints" really are SP's? For example, the Billy Williams #580. This is a card I would normally gravitate to, as I'm a Cubs fan and vintage Cubs collector - but of course most '60s Billy Williams cards normally go for a fraction of what you see this one listed for. But is it really that rare? Right now I count at least 20 of them for sale in various grades on eBay. I know there have been some cases where "rarities" at first later turn out to be "don't believe the hype" stories. But this may be true only for more recent cards.

The standard catalog also lists numerous short prints in the '64 Giant set, but an uncut sheet proves this is wrong, and there actually aren't any- which confirms what we always thought as kids, collecting this set.
I'd like to see an uncut sheet. There are certainly some cards that are very tough in this set (McLain and Coleman killed me) but that can only be completely confirmed by the sheet. |

When I was putting my '66 Mets team set together (pre-internet days) I had a much harder time finding #589 Lou Klimchock than finding the Choo Choo Coleman.

What about #562, Russ Snyder? eBay sellers constantly claim it as a SP and does it appear to sell at SP prices.

Ive put this one together many times over the years
yrs back the 591 Jackson was not too tough, now it is ..no doubt some of the toughest in my opinion - McLain, Tiger Team, G Bell, Astro rookies ( Colbert) |

Well back in the sixties I was able to complete the set except for Jackson and Perry. They are tough. Mc Lain and Tigers are hard to find because of Tiger collectors.
