It would help to know the dimensions, and for you to post a photo of the reverse side. It should have an easel back that looks a certain way.
More closeup photos wouldn't hurt either. At first blush, the piece looks pretty good, but the more info you can provide, the better we can help you. |

The bottom kind of looks grainy like it's a copy, but the hillerich and bradsby part looks sharp as a tac! I echo the above, though. If there's no sign of an easel on the back, it's definitely a fantasy piece. Better/more pictures will help. I wouldn't think anybody could tell for sure with the one provided!

Darn it....
I'm afraid it is a repro. ![]() See the link to REA below.... http://www.robertedwardauctions.com/...ugger-display/ Someone photocopied it, and then conveniently trimmed away the inscription portion (from DiMaggio to Halper). They did it so that the piece appeared to be die-cut that way. But if you look closely, you can see it was not originally or professionally cut that way. Too bad, and definitely done to deceive. Hope you didn't buy it, and that this helps! Mark Last edited by perezfan; 03-09-2017 at 01:23 PM. |
