My gut reaction is the signature appears carefully and deliberately applied. Probably not a coincidence it was done in pencil, which doesn't bleed or show signs of slowness as much as pens.
Secondly, doesn't the "collector's notation" on the album page seem a bit "manufactured"?

FWIW IMO I agree with Mr. Zipper I like the Mickey but not the Mantle if it is possible to like one half of a signature but not the other half .
