You have to just grimace when you read this in the sellers ad:

I asked him what provenance he has to back up his claim that the calendar company inserted the Ruth photo and not some joe blow who wanted to dramatically increase the value of an ordinary calendar. His reply to me was that the back stamp on the Ruth photo proved it. I googled the name on the back stamp and there is nothing out there except a website with another photo of Ruth with the same stamp.

I reported this item to ebay as being a hazardous material.
The item in the listing is identified as a possible danger to health, safety, or property while being transported. The thermometer contains mercury, which cannot be shipped through the mail. We will see what happens. Rick

You know it's great I got my $150 back and then PayPal made a mistake and put a $145.35 credit into my account and they couldn't take it away because they put it in my account so I made $145.35.

As mentioned above there is another online image of Ruth taken by this photographer, which appears original and vintage. It depicts Babe having some sort of make up being applied. I think you would probably be happy to win it at 2.01. Having said that, it does not appear to be original to the calendar.
